Since the first large-scale production of polystyrene in 1930 and of polyamide in 1940, BASF has set the pace in all key stages of plastics development. Examples of our broad range of plastic materials are:
Terlux® (transparent MABS) ... featuring excellent transparency and gloss, high toughness and good chemical resistance. Terlux has excellent surface quality, can create particularly striking optical effects and is extremely easy to print. This exceptional combination of properties makes it a material of choice for demanding applications such as cosmetics packagings, sport & leisure, medical technology, as well as for home and office equipment.
Luran® S (ASA and ASA/PC) ... featuring excellent weatherability, high heat aging resistance and good chemical resistance. It is highly suitable for components that require exceptional long-term performance, such as in building and construction as well as in automotive applications.
Terblend® N (ABS + PA) ... which, with its outstanding toughness even at subzero temperatures, exceptional chemical resistance, high heat resistance and excellent surface quality is the ideal alternative to ABS/PC, for example in automotive applications, for office equipment and in the E&E sector.
